It's been 16 months now, what's up ?
It's been 16 months since my last DevLog, so here's a quick recap:
Has DDO been abandoned? --> NO
Have there been any advances? --> YES
Which ones? --> it's complicated...
Boring Explanation :
I developed the structure of the DDO code to achieve a precise vision. And that vision could now be achieved! Except that over 2 years of development it has grown and changed. The code structure was no longer ready to support my new, much more complex vision. So I had to overhaul the structure... I call this the "[DUNGEON UPDATE]" !
The dungeon update is a mostly technical update, which means that it's only when it's finished (and the code structure is perfectly adapted) that I'll be able to add solid content to achieve my goal and offer you a game I'm proud of ! (There's already some new content, but I won't show you all of it just yet ^^).
End of boring explanation.
As I have nothing really new to tell you, here are some statistics on the current code (I'm developing my game in C++ with SFML) !!! :
[i] - The DDO project contains 408 files. |
[i] - For a total of 71405 lines. |
[i] - The largest file, with 37422 lines, is called AudioRessources.h. |
[i] - The smallest file is PosSize.cpp with only 22 characters. |
[i] - The project contains 279 classes. |
[i] - It also contains 35 struct. |
[i] - And 54 enums. |
[i] - In the whole project, there are 1745 '//' comments. |
[i] - For conditions, there are 1221 'if' conditions, with 345 'else' conditions. |
[i] - And 93 'switch' conditions. |
[i] - For loops, there are 457 'for' loops. |
[i] - and 21 'while' loops. |
